Sluice gate valves and Penstocks

Sluice gate valves and penstocks are used for severing the flow of sewage/water in urban and chemical waste water treatment plants, reclamation systems, and the drainage system of roads as well as highways.



Penstock hallmarks:
  • bilateral seal of the sluice gate valve and penstock
  • production - either stainless steel or PEHD
  • sluice gate valve is adjusted to be mounted both at the rectangular and round mouth of drains
  • optionally equipped with electrical drive, telescopic extension rod, drive stanchion, gate valve key, street box and other.
Every sluice gate valve and penstock are produced strictly in accordance with the customer's requirements and customised to the local conditions in the installation.

Biocent's penstocks are very easy to use. You can increase or decrease the sealing surface by rotating the valve body in the desired direction. The mechanism is reliable – it endures constant water pressure and guarantees much safer work for specialists from water treatment plants. Sluice gates are made either of stainless-steel or high-density polyethylene. These materials are solid and severely reduce the risk of any malfunctions.

Our clients choose how a sluice valve works. It can be operated manually. The employees need to simply rotate the mechanism's body clockwise to close the gate or counterclockwise to decrease the sealing surface. There's also a possibility to include an electric override. It allows the operator to adjust the device without any effort. We will gladly customize the product for it to meet the client's preferences.

The mechanism requires regular inspections from skilled engineers. Certain parts of the sluice gate valve need to be checked and adjusted.
